Who said Comfort can’t meet style!

Are you ready to experience being comfortable and chic at the same time?

As Spring slowly settles in and the sun graces us with its beams, we slowly ditch our ankle boots & winter shoes for more summer’ish soles. And as every season has it, 2013 Spring/Summer will too bring us a new fashion trend. The Loafers, ladies! From the catwalk to the streets and to the posh feet of celebs these  boy’ish flat pumps are making us forget the hot heels and channel our Tom-boy personas.

Who said Comfort can't meet style!

I have to say I was a little iffy about this new trend at first and wondered if I would get into it or simply allow it to pass me by. Today, I do admit, I have been seduced! Yes they are a bit masculine but I love that, as I love the way they can easily blend and mix with so many various looks.

Loafers can easily top off any outfit, whether you’re going for a night out, or just running to the grocery store, this season’s loafers have all the glam and chicness that make a perfect friendship to any look. This trend puts an edgy spin on the classic loafer style; it reinvented the lackluster loafer into something that’s not just for Grandpa anymore; but for today’s daring fashionistas. They are super comfortable, and contrary to belief they look amazing with feminine clothes. It gives you that boho-chicvibe. You’ll find the new loafer in prints, glitter, embellishment, studs, bright colors, and with tassels. You will need to take my advice and seriously own one this season!

Spring 2013 Trends | Neon Clothing

Neon is for the bold and the brave—or those who just want to add a little life to their wardrobe. There is no need to worry about looking too flashy: Neon has come a long way since the days of eye-searing paint splatters.

Neon was one of the top trends presented at the London Fashion Week (S/S 2013

Here’s how you can add some glow to your closet.

You wouldn’t think that beige and neon would work, but somehow this light tan tank with its pop of neon yellow embroidery is does. It’s a grownup take on the neon trend.

If you’re still feeling a little shy on the fluorescent, try a neon leather bracelet. The gold plate hardware takes it from trendy to classic, while still adding a bold note to any outfit. Image

Your possessions deserve a little neon love, too. Throw this bright yellow satchel over your shoulder and glow like a beacon.

It takes guts to pull on skinny jeans in neon coral, but we think you’ve got what it takes. Top them with more neon or bring them down a notch with neutral colors

These are the trends the fashion industry tells us to wear but regardless, when choosing a swimsuit, you should consider your body type before buying. Think of your proportions and areas you would like to eventuate and hide. This way you could still look sexy but feel comfortable in what you’re wearing as well. HAPPY SHOPPING LADIES.

Just like the one-shoulder dresses, the style has become popular with swimsuits, and has been appearing in both exclusive designer collections and more affordable brands.

Trend #3: Cut out

Cut out bathing suits are one of the sexist styles, however, they do require a fit and flawless figure most times, or ladies that aren’t afraid to show their goodies

 Trend #4: Sequins

If you love our sparkle, then these shining swimwear pieces which will be a hit on the beach this season are the choice for you. Sequins have been on most runways, in all colors, complemented with beading, crystals and embroidery.

Trend #5: Monotone

Monotone bikinis have long been the most popular and favorite amongst most women. This Spring/ Summer 2012 season pastel tones, orange and white hues will dominate. Make sure to choose a piece that has some details so you don’t look dull at the beach

Trend #6: Retro

Retro, comes into fashion once again. Even though most of our men don’t hold much admiration to the high-wasted bottoms and full-coverage look, you can wear a retro-inspired bikini or a one-piece suit to cover your problem areas and feel more comfortable.

Trend #7: Ruffles

Ruffles have been almost everywhere on the runways, which doesn’t surprise me when they bombard in with swimsuits as well. This style is sweet looking, however, make sure you stay away from them if you want to look slimmer, especially in the hip area.

Trend #8: Bandeau

Bandeau bikinis are a personal favorite for me, and are known to look amazing on women with small breasts. Beware ladies, support is definitely not one of this style’s best attributes. This is a hot trend but be wise and study your frame before deciding to buy one.

“If you are to buy a piece, buy a dress, at least you’re dressed” – Marc Jacobs

On that note, given to us by one of my favorite designers, I decided to dig into the internet looking for those dresses that can make your mouth feel all watery, and make your heart eat itself out! No matter what we buy every season and how funky we try to be with the panks, skirts, overalls etc… The truth remains that nothing can make us feel and look as feminine and beautiful as a dress can.
Its true, there are numerous styles and shapes for dresses, some of us like the long maxi dresses and others will not wear one unless forced to by a wedding card that says “Dress code: MAXI”. Regardless, a dress is all woman, and boy don’t we all love feel all woman. So heres a tribute to the one piece that will always remain in our closet, the one piece that will always have our backs, and the one piece we will always run to when we have some serious impressing to do. As a matter of fact, forget impressing anyone, a dress can make you feel good for you, and thats what this blog is all about anyways!
Enjoy the pics, and for some of you , HAPPY SHOPPING!
