S T A P L E S : The Pencil Skirt

If you had to pick 10 must-have pieces for every wardrobe the pencil skirt would definitely make the cut. It has been here for many fashion decades and once in a while it makes a ‘comeback’ in a revisited fashion. While the black pencil skirt still is a wardrobe staple, the new season is presenting an attractive array of colorful and floral printed pencil skirts suitable for every occasion. I have a style crush on the mint green pencil skirt and is on my shopping wishlist for the upcoming seasons. Take a look at my picks.

By no means do I ever try to pretend I know all there is about fashion, but isn’t that the beauty of it? Inspirations come to me daily, from people, colors, moods, photography, even children! As Coco Chanel once said “Fashion is everywhere … in the sky…” this is how i choose to live my life. We don’t need to be millionaires, we don’t need to always have the latest and most luxurious brands, but we will always need to feel beautiful. I believe in simplicity even with my most extravagant dress on. Less is sometimes more in my fashion eye. I love funky, I love colors, I love elegance, and I love class. Fashion is not something I do, it has become a part of who I am. This is me, and my life in the fashion lane…

  1. I really love the pencil skirt. I think I wear it about 2-3 times a week for work and it really is a STAPLE. Especially now with places like J.Crew, Ann Taylor, ASOS making ones in fun happy colors!

    • Totally agree, plus I love the silhouette figure it gives women regardless of shape and size! This season pencil skirts are all about the brights where you can go to work looking fresh yet professional and continue on your night out like you just stepped out of your house!
